This 2018 audit of poverty, systemic racism, militarism, and environmental devastation in the United States was co-edited by me at the Institute for Policy Studies and Shailly Gupta Barnes at the Poor People’s Campaign. Its aim was to document in 119 pages where progress had been made and where the United States was still sorely lacking fifty years after the original Poor People’s Campaign led by Rev. Martin Luther King.
