We were joined by Samita Sinha, a local artist trained in piano, and classical South Asian music. Sinha will talk to us about her fusion project KAASH, playing two upcoming shows in New York this week, and spin tracks from their debut album. I spoke to her about what she calls her “vocal and compositional style drawing from the various musical and linguistic idioms she knows (Hindi, Urdu, Braj, Mandarin, English, and vocal sound painting).”
